An 18-year-old accused of the rape of two young girls has been denied bail.
He allegedly lured two girls, aged 12 and 13, into a house in Thambo outside Groblersdal by offering to buy them food.
He then locked the victims inside the house and went to purchase food. When he returned, he raped them one by one until one of the victims managed to escape and inform her parents.
The parents, accompanied by community members then went to the house where the incident occurred.
The accused was arrested in May when he was reportedly caught raping one of the victims.
Police spokesperson, Cst Maphure Manamela said this was the second time the accused tried to obtain his freedom.
"The suspect was again denied bail and his cases were postponed until July 3, 2019, while police investigations are still continuing."
