At the weekend, in Limpopo parents were left disappointed with a poorly organised children's event "Winter in Disneyland Polokwane".

Parents who attended the children's event on Saturday were left fuming when the event did not fulfil its promise of bringing that Disney magic to Polokwane.

The event took place at Airport Africa Lodge, Polokwane and appearances from Disney characters as Mickey Mouse as well as Elsa, Anna and Olaf from Frozen, however, that is not what was delivered.

Legodi Tiego, taking to Twitter shared how she paid for the sold-out event to "only arrive here and get jumping castles and hula hoops.

According to The Sowetan, the event had "faulty jumping castles" and was "an alcohol bash for adults"

Tickets at Ticketpro cost R50 for children, R80 for adults and had a family package of R250.

Angry parents at the event demanded their money back after being left disappointed with the event.

Speaking to Channel24, Disney Africa said: "Disney Africa confirms that this event was neither run or sanctioned by The Walt Disney Company Africa. We are currently investigating."
