Police have made 568 arrests and detained over 600 foreign nationals in an extensive raid in the Johannesburg CBD on Wednesday evening.
The suspects were arrested on charges ranging from assault to business robbery due to the counterfeit goods they were selling. Last week, an attempted raid was withdrawn after police vehicles were pelted with petrol bombs and stones.
