A man has finally come forward to claim a R23 million lotto jackpot just weeks before the winning ticket expired.
TimesLIVE reports that the winner had simply forgotten to check his ticket, which had piled up with all his other lotto tickets.
The R30 ticket was bought at a Shell garage in Rooihuiskraal, Centurion, on September 19 and was due to expire that same day this year, which is just weeks away.
The winner receives R23.774m and has to go to counselling and meet with financial advisors. If the winner had not ome forward, it would have been Mzansi's largest unclaimed jackpot.
