Media mogul Basetsana Kumalo has built a name for herself as one of the forces to be reckoned with in the South African entertainment industry.
Through her various projects, not only has the businesswomen created a name for herself but she has also helped birth careers in the industry.
After 25 years of being in the public space, the former Miss South Africa is ready to tell her story in her upcoming memoir, Bassie: My Journey of Hope.
On August 9, as South Africa celebrated Women's Day, Kumalo announced that she would be releasing her book in October 2019.
"25 yrs of a public life, 25 yrs as a TV producer, 25 yrs as an entrepreneur, 25 yrs of serving the Lord & 25 yrs of SADemocracy, here is my Memoir," shared Kumalo on social media.

For the better part of my adult life, I have kept journals and recorded my thoughts and recollections on my dictaphone. So this year, as I turned 45, it also marked 25 years of me being in the public eye, 25 years of serving the Lord, 25 years of being a television producer, 25 years of being an entrepreneur and, of course, 25 years of our democracy. Everything conspired to bring me to this moment. So I sat down to write my Memoir, to tell my story in my own words, to share my thoughts and feelings, and to relate the hard-worn lessons I have learnt. I realised that if my children – or my grandchildren, for that matter – were to wonder one day who I am, who I was, where I came from, what inspired me, what I believed in, what brought me joy and what gave me hope, I would want to tell them in my own voice. Many South Africans have embraced and supported me over the years, and I want them to know me, the essence of me, too. So I invite you to share in Bassie: My Journey of Hope. It will be on your shelves in October 2019. #BassiesBook #JourneyOfHope #HappyWomensDay #WomensDay
