With five weeks to go, the countdown to Dr Tumi’s Gathering of Worshippers (GOW2019) has begun in earnest.
Featuring the best of international talent in the form of US superstar Fred Hammond and Bishop Cortez Vaughn this is Dr Tumi’s most ambitious project yet.
In another first, a historic total of 50 000 worshippers are expected to fill the Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria on 5 October 2019 for a night of praise and worship that transcends borders and time.
The theme of GOW2019 is Love on the Cross inspired by Dr Tumi’s newest 20-track double CD album, Love on the Cross. On the day of its release this month, it trended on social media and topped the music charts, it continued this feat even days after its release.
Dr Tumi will earn himself bragging rights money can’t buy as the first black gospel artist to fill up a 50 000 seater stadium.
The reception for GOW 2019 has been phenomenal with the VIP section of the show being sold out within two hours.
In 2017 he filled Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg with 20 000 worshippers, last year he clocked the 30 000 mark at Voortrekker Monument and this year he will scale new heights with a staggering 50 000.
Dr Tumi comments: ‘This going to be the biggest gathering to date. I can imagine how electrifying the atmosphere will be like in the stadium. The amount of talent coming on the night is also unbelievable. This is real value for my fam that has remained loyal and supported me over the years. Be part of history and witness God’s power in action.’
