Nigerian artist Ycee has taken to Twitter to express his thoughts on the attacks on foreign nationals in South Africa and how there is a "subtle dislike" towards Nigerians in the country.

Numerous incidents of looting and burning of foreign national businesses in Pretoria and Johannesburg have been reported, sparking a national outrage against the attack of foreigner nationals in the country.

Ycee explained that no matter how hard South Africans can hide their "subtle dislike" of Nigerian ". it eventually jumps out - like when AKA had a full childish grown man tantrum when they lost to Nigeria in the nations cup".

South Africa lost out to Nigeria in the African Cup of Nations this year and AKA expressed the lose was "a hard pill to swallow. We keep losing to Nigeria in every way."

"I'm hurt man. This match was bigger than football. The biggest rivalry on the continent. Why do you we always have to lose against Naija at EVERYTHING."

Whilst some people thoughts AKA's comments were pure football, Ycee begs to differ, saying that there are "underlying implications" of the South African rapper tweeted.

President Cyril Ramaphosa has condemned the attacks against foreign nationals.

"There can be no justification for any South African to attack people from other countries," said Ramaphosa in a statement.
