Police have confirmed that a teacher at Laerskool Kollegepark was one of the suspects arrested for the kidnapping of six-year-old Amy'Leigh de Jager.
Amy-Lee was snatched from her mother's car in front of the school in Vanderbijlpark on Monday morning. She was found on Tuesday morning.
According to reports, the little girl was allegedly dropped off on the street during the early hours of Tuesday morning.
On Thursday, police arrested three suspects in connection with the child's kidnapping. Among those arrested was a Grade RR teacher who reportedly is known to the family.
According to reports, the teacher was friends with Amy-Lee's mother. Posts on social media show pictures of the two together, suggesting that the two are friends.
The woman cannot be named until she appears in court. She has since been suspended pending a disciplinary hearing.
The suspect is expected to appear in the Vanderbijlpark Magistrate's Court on Monday.
